Neopost Awarded Sole Supplier Contract by £700 Million Purchasing & Distribution Consortium

Romford, UK; September 2008 Neopost, Europe's leading provider of mailroom solutions, has won a 12-month contract extension from the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO), a local authority purchasing and distribution consortium whose annual procurement activities amount to around £700 million.

Neopost was one of the three suppliers who won the initial three-year contract, put out to tender by ESPO in 2005. By extending the current Framework Agreement, ESPO has awarded Neopost a sole supplier contract to deliver its entire range of eco-friendly mailroom products to customers in the Midlands and East Anglia.

"We are pleased to build on our relationship with the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation," commented Kevan Mutton, Managing Director of Neopost. "The contract extension demonstrates not just our outstanding record over the previous three years, but Neopost’s proven commitment to provide sustainable, best value mailroom products and solutions to the public sector."

ESPO's decision to extend the contract of only one mailroom provider confirms Neopost's position as the pre-eminent green mailroom supplier to the sector; and follows other recent successes with Cumbria Contract Services, North Eastern Purchasing Organisation, Universities Consortia and the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation.
